CRITERIA FOR THE SELECTION OF CONVENORS OF EXPERT PANESLS:
a. Qualification: Major Diploma in the subject as approved by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
b. Research Experience: 1. Should have prepared and conducted at least five
Research projects as Principal Investigator.
2. Should have published at least fifteen original research papers in peer reviewed journals and be the Principal author in at least seven of these papers.
3. Should have supervised the research work of at least five postgraduate students (M.Phil. /Ph.D/FCPS/MD etc).
CRITERIA FOR THE MEMBERS OF EXPERT PANELS:
a. Qualification: Major Diploma in the subject as approved by the PMDC.
b. Research Experience: 1. Should have conducted at least three
Research projects as Principal Investigator.
2. Should have published at least ten original research papers in peer reviewed journals and must be the Principal author of at least five of these papers.
3. Should have supervised the research work of at least three postgraduate students (M.Phil./Ph.D/FCPS/MD etc).
THE FUNCTION OF EXPERT PANELS:
To evaluate the research proposals submitted to PMRC for funding and give recommendations to TAC for funding.
To review the scientific literature/papers submitted to PMRC for publication in the Journal of Medical research.
To identify the national health problems in their own fields for the development of research agenda of the council.
4. To prepare position papers on policy questions that the PMRC may submit to the government from time to time
