      Development of Draft Career Structure for Health Professionals:

      The Prime Minister announced the establishment of National Commission for Career Structure of

      Health Professionals (NCCSHP) under the Chairmanship of Federal Minister for Health.

      A presentation of the project was given to the Chief, Health Policy Unit, to apprise the Minister of

      Health.

PMRC was declared as the Secretariat to develop the career structure for health professionals. Several meetings were held with stakeholders belonging to various disciplines of health (doctors, nurses, paramedics, administrators, hakims, homeopaths). Following suggestions and recommendations of national consultation, the draft Career Structure document was revised.  The document was again sent to all provincial health secretaries for evaluation and another meeting of the commission was held in July 2006 to discuss various points. The commission advised for revision of the document which has been done and waiting for presentation to the Secretary Health.
